Pet sitting Policies and Procedures

RESERVATIONS – It is best to book in advance to ensure the booking you desire. Peak times are holidays and the summer months. An in-home consultation is required before any service can be granted Paws and Pamper ask that you confirm reservations three days prior to service

RESERVATIONS I ask clients to schedule reservations made directly with the office telephone no e mail or text reservations accepted.  Please feel free to inquire through e mail, though know you are not booked until your initial consultation visit
Client/Pet Information Every client needs to fill out information on their Sit my carbon copy forms. Information includes: emergency contact information and pet details including veterinarian information and feeding instructions. Your pet sitter will follow these detailed instructions to provide the best care to your pets.I  require proof of vaccines from your veterinarian. Please have this information ready for us at the time of the initial consultation. Two keys at time of Consultation visit.
 Payment Policy Payments for walking  are to be paid in full at the time of booking or on the first day that service begins. No exceptions made for new clients. Payment is due directly to Paws and Pamper and not to the pet sitter. If payment is not received at the time of service, a $25.00 late fee will be added to your invoice Paws and Pamper accepts Square, Cash, Check, and all visa and MasterCard for payment of service. Credit cards will automatically be charged for future services, Pet Sitting Charges 50% upfront at time of the Booking.This is none refundable.. For overnight service, we ask for a 50% nonrefundable deposit Full charge will be made 3 days before departed.  There will be a $35.00 charge for all returned checks or “charge backs.” If Client requests to extend service, the Client guarantees payment at the same rate for all services, plus the required Last Minute Fee of $15.00 provided upon return. Although not required, if you wish to tip the Pet Sitter, please write a separate check in the Pet Sitter's name or leave cash for your Sitter.


CANCELLATIONS 48 hour notice is required for non-peak times; 2 weeks is required for peak times. If cancelling less than 3 days prior to scheduled departure, For overnight service, we ask for a 50% nonrefundable deposit at the time of booking. Since this is an exclusive service and we decline other reservations that coincide with yours, Paws and Pamper upholds this policy


EMERGENCY (pet owner) If you need to be out of town for longer than expected, we require a phone call to confirm unscheduled visits. We are very accommodating with extensions; however, to avoid the possibility of a missed message,  Paws and Pamper does not accept text messages, emails or other non-confirmed voice messages, which could result in interrupted pet care.
SNOW REMOVAL The Client is responsible for making arrangements for snow removal. Visits may not be made in snow and/or ice covered driveways and/or walkways because of safety reasons.
LEASHES/ELECTRONIC FENCES/BACKYARDS All dogs are required to be walked on a leash. All dogs with electronic fences are required to wear their collars and for the units to be working. Paws and Pamper cannot be held responsible if a dog gets outside their fenced perimeter.
SHARED PET VISITS Due to our insurance policy and other factors, Paws and Pamper can not accept any shared pet sitting services with friends, family or neighbors.


KEYS/ Alarms I require TWO working keys to your house, NO EXCEPTIONS. Keys must be provided at time of registration/consultation. If two copies are not provided, Paws and Pamper  reserves the right to make a copy of the key at Client’s expense. If you live in a gated community, you must provide a gate card, remote or appropriate access codes. We will not access your apartment/condo via leasing office or following someone through the gate. NO KEYS will be mailed by regular mail, hidden outside or locked in homes on last visits. Should keys become unusable, lock malfunction, Client fails to leave a key or for any other reasons beyond Pet Sitter's control Paws and Pamper and Pet Sitters have authorization to employ the services of a locksmith to gain entry into a Client's home on Client's behalf. Client will be responsible for all expenses incurred and reimburse Paws and Pamper upon return.

Unacceptable Pets
Paws and Pamper has the right to refuse animals who appear to be aggressive, ill, etc. or could cause harm to Paws and Pamper or others. We do not have to provide reasoning for refusing to work with you or your pet.
